The Atlas Copco ZBP 120-120 is a high-output lithium-ion energy storage system designed for larger industrial and hybrid power applications. With expanded storage, strong discharge capability and flexible voltage output, it supports heavy site loads and long-duration operation across construction, mining and remote environments.
The ZBP 120-120 delivers 122.9 kWh of lithium-ion storage through a 76.8 V LiFePO4 battery system. Eight 200 Ah battery modules provide a large usable capacity for sites requiring extended operation between charges. The unit offers an expected service life of 6,000 cycles at an 80 per cent depth of discharge, supporting long-term use on demanding projects.
With a rated output of 120 kVA (120 kW) and dual voltage capability at 400 V and 230 V, the ZBP 120-120 supports high-demand equipment and site distribution systems. A discharge rating of 174 A allows the unit to handle significant load variations while maintaining stable performance. This makes it suitable for larger installations where power demand fluctuates throughout the day.
The ZBP 120-120 is housed in a rugged canopy designed for challenging site conditions. Integrated lifting points facilitate straightforward transport and positioning, while service access points enable routine checks without interrupting operations. Battery balancing back to full charge is required once per month, supporting predictable maintenance planning.
The unit supports three operating modes.
Island Mode supplies stand-alone battery power where generator-free operation is required.
Hybrid Mode works with a generator to manage load fluctuations and help reduce fuel use.
Series Mode connects multiple units to increase available storage and extend runtime for larger applications.
