CLIENT CHALLENGE

Statewide Industrial Maintenance, a privately owned company based in Perth, is dedicated to providing comprehensive engineering and maintenance services that contribute directly to their clients’ business success. Renowned for their consistent, competitive, and high-quality service delivery, Statewide encountered a significant challenge related to their on-site maintenance operations. They required a reliable and efficient power source for various tasks, initially relying on a large 9.5kVA petrol generator. However, this solution proved problematic due to its cumbersome size, excessive noise, high emissions, and escalating fuel costs, necessitating a more efficient alternative.

OUR SOLUTION

Instagrid One

Recognising these challenges, APS introduced Statewide Industrial Maintenance to the Instagrid, a portable battery system designed for high-power applications. When contacted, Statewide had multiple maintenance tasks that required temporary power, and the Instagrid was the perfect fit for their needs.

For two consecutive days, Statewide utilised the Instagrid for their maintenance operations without needing to recharge the battery. The outcomes were impressive, including:

Pipe Cutting: 8 cuts made into 6mm pipe at lengths of 1400mm each.

Bracing: Tacking up 16 pieces of bracing.

Welding: Completing a series of 6mm continious fillets utilsining 3.2mm 16TC electrodes.

PROJECT OUTCOME

Transition to the Instagrid provided many advantages

Noise Reduction: The Instagrid eliminated the need for a traditional petrol generator, significantly reducing noise levels on-site and creating a quieter working environment.
